New Second Life Neko Ears
I don’t typically go ga-ga over the latest Neko ears, and I always try to be (relatively) unbiased in my reviews, but I had to make an exception for Outland Tech and Curious Relics (OTCR)’s newly released Neko Ears V3 by Anisa Naumova.
Those of you already familiar with OTCR’s Neko products know how much time, thought and detail Anisa puts into everything she makes. Yet I think she may have outdone herself with these ears. Just take a look at the above HUD (click any of these images to enlarge).
The left image is what you see when you click the “Colors” tab — allowing you to change ear color in three areas (underlying fur, outside fur, and inside fur) — even separately if you wish (left ear, right ear, or both). The middle image is what you get when you click on the fur “Styles” tab: choose more or less fluff, a dark rim around the outside of the ear, white ear tips, etc. The next image shows the “Poses” tab, which offers seven pose attitudes/animations, along with a “perking” position and random movement choice. On the far right is what you see when you click the little Question Mark button: the help window.
What I love about these ears: their sculpted shape, the option for adorable tufts of fur on the tips, and the great movements — turning, lifting, lowering, folding back and more… all of which evoke very realistic expressions.
As shown in the above photo, OTCR V3 ears come in two sizes: on the left are the larger “Chibi” style; on the right are the slightly smaller, more typical “SL Neko” style. Note: The smaller ears (on the right) are not animated, but that makes them great for budget-conscious Neko, because they cost a little less, even though they still come with the HUD for color and style change. No matter what size ears you buy, you’ll get ongoing free automatic updates.
Coming Soon: attachments (such as earrings) available for separate purchase.

Thank you for letting us know about this! I love those chibi style ears.
I would like to say more but I have to TP to the store now 😉
Hehe… hope you like ’em as much as I do Sama! 🙂
Thank you for showing this to us!
I’ve been looking for some great hud-controlled ears with those poses for a long time (since atomic took down their hybrid parts.)
These are my new favorites.
Me too Kira… aren’t the movements wonderful!! Wonder if Atomic will ever bring their Neko bits back…..
hey I was just wondering where you got the hair in this post? the ears look *soo* cute with it and id love to know- Thanks!
❤
Hello Lucy! That hair is from Kin, and the style is called “Kaelyn.” I tinted it to make it more brown (one of the things I love about hair from Kin… you can make as many copies as you like, and tint each one individually to suit your moods). Here’s a slurl to the store for ya: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Eventide%20Far%20East/173/199/45
P.S. When you walk in the store, Kaelyn is on the left wall, towards the back, bottom row. 😉
LUV these. I have not wanted to deviate from my Wynx ears because I could never find any that I liked as much but I always wanted a little more movement. There are purrfect and the multiple color choices make me a very happy catgirl!
YAY Kristine, glad you like ’em… aren’t they amazing! Rumor has it some matching tails are in the making… I’ll be sure to let you all know as soon as I hear about ’em!
