Virtual Neko in Second Life

I’ve been wanting to start a routine feature on Neko guys for a long time, in support of all the wonderful (not to mention handsome) Neko men I’ve met around the grid.

At long last, the stars crossed and it happened. Allow me to introduce you to a dear hearted guy who also happens to be my very first Virtual Neko “employee” — Eden Darkfire.

I first stumbled across Eden (literally; thank cat he was afk) at a cyberpunk sim called Caisteal, where he appeared to be crouched down in fear of my blundering feet. When he awoke about an hour later (no wiser for my clumsiness), we began to talk. I noticed he had a certain fashion panache… a brilliant wit… one thing led to another… next thing you know he’s offering to update blog slurls, and we haven’t looked back since.

And now I’ll hush and let Eden do the rest of the talking… ^_^

“I first discovered SL in 2006 because a close friend of mine had recently joined and convinced me to join him. I wasn’t much interested in it back then. I couldn’t figure out how to make my av look decent, amongst other issues. I ended up rejoining in May 2009 out of a random spark to try again, and I’ve been here ever since.

“Why Neko? Honestly, I was drawn to it. I guess I can blame being a cat lover and admiring the qualities they represent: independence, aloofness, playfulness, curiosity, and grace, which are also qualities I see and admire in myself (well…minus the gracefulness >.>).

“When I’m in SL, I most enjoy spending time with my friends and exploring. There is so much to see and discover, as it’s only limited by imagination, and everyone who adds to it has their own style and inspirations. While it’s amazing what can be found just by sim hopping at random, my favorite place is Blue Galaxy and especially its adjoining sim Caisteal. I love the effort put into this sim… there are so many cool and beautiful places to find and hang out in.

“I also have to admit a passion for shopping. Although I usually mix and match from various stores, my favorite store right now is Blitzed. I love the quality of their clothing and the textures, in fact I’ve worn the same shorts from them almost every day since I bought them. I just can’t find any other pants I love more.” XD

Thank you Eden, not only for being so thorough and professional in all things related to the blog, but most of all for being such a thoughtful, kind-hearted soul. It’s an honor to be your friend.
